I'm chilling at a cigar lounge on a leather couch with a Flathead 660 and enjoying life before I have to work this afternoon. I think I'll be doing this more often, since I'm not inclined to smoke in my new car.
Hope everyone else's weekend goes well!

Since I went a bit drunk yesterday my Saturday is affected by that. Had indoor football (soccer) practice with new shoes earlier today (yes, with a hangover), so my feet are just a pair of blisters right now. Now watching Liverpool vs Villa, and Liverpool are playing like shit. Good day.

Sounds nice. I just got back from a 2-hour church ordination service, which was work for me (I play trumpet). I stopped by the cigar store on the way home and picked up a Chateau Fuente maduro for the next installment of Cigarlopnik. I've had them before, but they're a bit pricey. But I figured it was worth it if I wrote it up. I'm sure my wife will understand. But hey—she's out of town til Tuesday!

This Flathead I tried was really good, but the girl said it wasn't a strong cigar. She was way wrong. I had to tap out with half of it left, or I'd be vomiting up my internal organs right now. It was so damn tasty, though.

Never heard of it. What is the construction? I'm just about done with this Chateau Fuente. They make a Maduro and a natural. I'm a Maduro man, and I'm really enjoying this. Very flavorful, not too strong, good burn. It comes with a cedar wrapper that you can use to light it. It gives a really tasty puff of cedar at the beginning, and you can taste the cedar throughout. I highly recommend it.

It's from CAO. It's a Toro-sized box-press cigar, and I'm guessing it's 60 ring gauge. Box-press cigars tend to feel smaller than a regular vitola to me, it was more like a 54. I'm guessing it was Maduro because it was pretty dark, but I'm not sure. I think the next time I try one it'll have to be after a very big meal, because it made my head very swimmy. It's very flavorful though, a great cigar.
Simplify, then add beer

Wife decided to take me to lunch at a place on the harbour. Came home 13 hours later completely shitfaced.
I'd call that a successful Saturday.
